Camaro Under Hood and Trunk Shock Kit Instructions

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Tools Needed:

-	Medium flat-head screw driver
-	Needle nose pliers
-	Channel lock pliers or regular pliers
-	Rag

Instructions:

• 	1.		Open the hood.
  	2.		Locate the one long shock that supports the hood in the upright positionj on the passenger side of the car.
  	3.		WARNING! ONCE THE SHOCK IS TAKEN LOOSE FROM THE HOOD, THE HOOD WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED AND WILL FALL WHICH COULD INJURE SOMEONE OR DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE. A SECOND PERSON OR SUPPORT FOR THE HOOD MUST BE USED!
  	4.		Locate the retaining clip at the top of the shock (near the hood) on the plastic rod end).
  	5.		Using the screw driver pry and pull this clip loose.
  	6.		AFTER THIS STEP, THE HOOD WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED UNTIL RE-ASSEMBLY.
  	7.		Pop the top end of the shock free from the hood.
  	8.		Using a rag to protect the steel rod and the channel lock pliers, hold the steel rod near the plastic rod end. Unscrew the plastic rod end.
  	9.		During this step, be careful that the o-rings inside the new shock cover do not come out. Some light oil on the o-rings might help the cover to slide on easier. Slide your new shock cover onto the shock and align from end to end so that it covers even with both ends of the large body that it slid onto. Align rotationally for best look.
  	10.		Screw plastic rod end onto the steel rod securely.
  	11.		Pop the plastic rod end back onto the hood.
  	12.		Place the retaining clip back onto the plastic rod end and snap securely into place.
  	13.		The two trunk shocks can be done in the same manner. Note that if one shock is done and then the other, the trunk will be supported. Also, the plastic rod ends can be left in place during installation of the new covers.
  	14.		Enjoy your new color matched shock covers!
